Please Sir!

Spin-off from the popular television series of the late 1960s/early 1970s about a London school, Fenn Street, and in particular Class 5C and their teacher.

5C are a group of unruly and mischevious teenagers interested only in causing as much chaos as possible.   John Alderton is Hedges, their teacher who tries – mostly unsuccessfully –  to keep them in order.  He is aided and abetted in his efforts by the rest of the school staff and teachers who take a rather dim view of their antics.

The feature film sees 5C leave the classroom when Hedges manages to persuade the Head to let him take them on a field trip – with predictable consequences.

Kings of British sit-com writing, Esmonde and Larby, penned the television series and also the wrote the screenplay for the film.
