The Bishop’s Wife

It may not be quite as well known as It’s a Wonderful Life, but The Bishop’s Wife, originally advertised as Cary and the Bishop’s Wife, has many of the same themes and qualities. It was released the following year, and is also set around Christmas. It too has an Angel (called Dudley rather than Clarence) in the shape of Cary Grant coming to help the earth-bound Bishop (David Niven) and also his wife (Loretta Young).

The result is a wonderful film and the lobby cards are all very attractive, featuring the main poster artwork in their borders as well as key scenes from the film.

Card #4 has Grant and Young out together again.
