Raiders of the Lost Ark

In the late seventies, Steven Spielberg was going from one massive hit to the next.

Raiders of the Lost Ark was his 1981 release.

The first, and for many still the best, of the Indiana Jones series.  Harrison Ford in a role he was made for.  Thrills, adventures, archaeology, Nazis and that hat.

Original cinema advertising posters for the original series have become very popular over the last few years, helped in no small part by their great artwork, as well as the popularity of the movies.

This is one of the most collectable posters from the film’s first release, the UK Quad featuring the iconic artwork by Amsel.
