School for Scoundrels
An absolute must for any fans of British comedy, based on Stephen Potter’s One-Upmanship series of books.
This hilarious outing features wonderful performances from its four leads. Ian Carmichael starts as an innocent ineffectual, easily outsmarted for the attentions of Janette Scott by typically caddish Terry-Thomas. But he turns the tables after enrolling in the Lifemanship College run by Alastair Sim.
There’s also a pretty much perfect supporting cast of British comedy stalwarts, including a particularly nice turn from Peter Jones and Dennis Price as a couple of car salesmen.
This original release British One Sheet features beautiful caricatures of the cast, nicely set against a plain blue background.
Conservation linen backed and very bright, but had some restoration work to address brown markings as shown in the pre-backing image
