Frankenstein 1970

Released in 1958, the 1970 of the title was to give the movie a futuristic feel, and to explain how Karloff’s character is able to build a nuclear reactor.
Playing a Frankenstein for the first time, Karloff looks as if he is having fun, and the end product may be a B movie, but a decent watch nonetheless.
This is an original US One Sheet poster produced for the film’s first release. It’s clear that the Karloff name was still what was going to sell the film and it features large as does imagery of the new monster, stylised to make it much more reminiscent of the original.
