One of Laurel and Hardy’s period outings made at the height of their popularity at the Hal Roach studio.
A comedy re-working of an opera by Blafe, it contains several of their funniest scenes.
And it was the final green appearance of Thelma Todd, being released two months after her unexplained death.
This is an original US Lobby Card from the movie’s cinematic re-release in 1952, with Ollie about to go on the rack, and Stan not helping very much.
