Fireman Save My Child

A comedy from 1954 that is very hard to find.
Its main interest stems from the fact that it began as an Abbott and Costello vehicle, but when Costello fell ill, Universal brought in Hugh O’Brian and Buddy Hackett to play the A and C roles, but added the star power of Spike Jones and his City Slickers, who provide support and contribute musical numbers in their own unique style.
And the advertising materials are nicely reminiscent of posters for Bud and Lou’s movies.
This is an original US Lobby Card from the film’s initial release – #2 from the set of 8. And it’s a great shot of Spike and his band in action.
