In 1964, the Beatles were already the world’s most popular group, so the obvious next step was to turn to the cinema.
Richard Lester directed a fictionalised account of a typical couple of days in the life of the Fab Four. Shot in black and white, with plenty of humour (much involving Paul’s grandfather, played by Wilfrid Brambell) as well as the music. The result of course was another smash hit, this time a movie, and an album of the same name.
The film was re-released cinematically in 1982, and this is Lobby Card #6 from that re-release, featuring the band messing around outside.
