David Lean’s 1957 drama is a true classic.

One of the best of the 1950s dramas set in World War Two.

An international cast headed by Guinness, Holden and Hayakawa, it’s so much more than a typical wartime/POW movie.

It has remained popular since its first release, with cinematic re-releases before home media arrived, as well as being a perennial Christmas tv favourite.

This is Card #6 from the set of 8 Lobby Cards produced for the film’s first cinema release.  They all feature individual scenes from the movie.  This one showcases William Holden.
