Tenth Avenue Angel

This 1948 MGM drama wasn’t the Box Office smash they anticipated, and isn’t often seen these days.

Margaret O’brien is the lead, and there is an early appearance from Angela Lansbury.

It’s the artwork that makes this poster so attractive.  It’s by the caricaturist Jacques Kaprilik, whose work could sometimes be seen in posters of the 40s and 50s, all in his distinctive style, and offering a nice alternative to some of the more standard artwork usually on offer.

This is an original US One Sheet poster from the movie’s first release.
