Road to Singapore was originally slated as a romantic comedy starring George Burns and Fred MacMurray.  They turned it down and the rest is history.

(Top billed) Bing Crosby and (third billed) Bob Hope replaced them, joined by (second billed) Dorothy Lamour.  And that was the start of a series that lasted over two decades.

Original movie posters and lobby cards for this title are very scarce.

This is an original US Lobby Card from the set of 8 produced for the movie’s first release. Bob’s not there, but it’s a nice scene with Bing crooning to Dorothy.

Notes:

Very nice condition card, complete apart from a tiny hole in the bottom right border, and with good colours, with a few signs of its 80+ years of age and wear including minor pinholes, staining, light surface scratch and some smudging and wrinkling.
