A domestic comedy from 1960, with a routine plot involving a family moving from the city to the country, but the movie critic husband continuing to work late, and attracting his wife’s suspicions.
But it’s elevated by its cast, with Doris Day and David Niven both on top form, with amusing support, in particular from Spring Byington and Patsy Kelly.
Original cinema advertising materials for Doris Day are always collectable, and this original US Lobby Card is a fantastic example of a Title Card. One of the set of 8 cards produced for the film’s first release, it includes the main title and credits and with artwork that is similar to the imagery used in the main posters. If anything, this is even nicer, as it has lovely portraits of both Day and Niven as well as the smaller pictures of the family.
