Pinocchio

Walt Disney’s adaptation of the classic Italian story by Carlo Collodi about a woodcarver who wishes the puppet he has created could become a real boy was the studio’s second full length animated film.

Released in 1940 the film won two Oscars for its music – one for the score as a whole, and the other for the song ‘When You Wish Upon a Star’, and is now considered to be one of the finest animated films ever made.

This original US One Sheet poster (measuring 27″x41″) was produced for use in cinemas when the film was given a cinematic re-release in 1962.
