Down Memory Lane

1949’s Down Memory Lane is a compilation of short comedies from the Mack Sennett studio.

Narrated by Steve Allen, as well as featuring work from silent comics including Ben Turpin, it also included sound shorts from the two big names on the credits (whose likenesses featured in the border art): Bing Crosby and W C Fields.

This is original Lobby Car8 #8 from the set of 8 produced to accompany the film’s original release.  It’s the best of the lot, featuring a great scene from the W C Fields classic short subject, The Dentist.
