Although it’s hard to believe now, several of the films Disney made in the 1940s (including Bambi and Pinocchio) weren’t a success originally and the studio was left on the verge of bankruptcy. Happily, Cinderella, released in 1950, changed that and it became their most successful film since Snow White.
This original US One Sheet poster is from a cinematic re-release of the film in 1973.
