Abbott and Costello were the top box office stars of the early 1940s, and their career (which was starting to tail off) was revived in 1948 when they “met” Frankenstein. This formula was repeated with a number of different Universal monsters and horror stars, and in 1949 they met “the Killer, Boris Karloff” (who wasn’t actually the killer in the film).
The film was re-released in cinemas in 1956 by the distributors, Realart, who always put a lot of effort into their posters and other advertising.
This original US One Sheet poster from that re-release is no exception, and features bright and vibrant artwork of Bud, Lou and Boris. It has been conservation linen backed and displays beautifully.
