The Trouble with Harry

A blacker comedy than usual from Alfred Hitchcock, who also decided in 1955’s The Trouble with Harry not to use any big star names.  But he managed to “introduce” Shirly MacLaine in her first screen appearance.

As a result, it’s probably one of the lesser known of his movies, with its central theme re-emerging in a broader vein in the 1980s in Weekend at Bernie’s.

This is an original US cinema poster, in the rarer Insert format.  The addition of a new number in manuscript over the NSS details suggests that this particular poster was used not only in 1955, but also again when the film was re-released in 1963.
