Mr Blandings Builds His Dream House

The film that you don’t want to watch if you’re contemplating a building project or home renovation!

Re-made with Tom Hanks as The Money Pit in the 1980s, this is by far the better film.  A great comedy with some romance, sparkling performances from Cary Grant as advertising man, Mr Blandings, and Myrna Loy as Mrs Blandings, keen to get out of their New York apartment and to the country, and stellar support from both Melvyn Douglas as their best friend, and Reginald Denny as their architect.

Original cinema advertising posters for this 1948 movie are very collectable, and the original Lobby Card set is in our view one of the finest sets of cards ever produced, with all 8 of the cards illustrating key moments in the film as well as reproducing the cartoon “house” artwork from the main posters, and not a single “dead card” or less interesting image.
