West Side Story

Without doubt, one of the all-time classic stage and screen musicals.

The updating of Romeo and Juliet, brought to the streets of New York with the rivalry between the Jets and the Sharks challenging the young lovers.

The original screen adaptation in 1961 almost swept the Oscar board, winning 10 awards, and the film remains incredibly popular as it has been re-released in the cinema, and on VHS, DVD, Blu-Ray and streaming, and has itself been re-made in 2021.

This is an original US Lobby Card from the movie’s first cinematic release, when it was still in first circulation but after the Oscar results.  It is card #6 from the set of 8, all produced in an attractive pink tinged style.
