1947’s The Lady from Shanghai is one of the films for which Orson Welles is best remembered.

Starring his then wife Rita Hayworth, it’s more about the feel and the scenes than the plot, and has to be watched more than once to be properly appreciated.

The original advertising movie poster from the film’s first release is one of the most striking, collectable and hard to find of all vintage movie posters.  Its iconic artwork showcases Hayworth at her most glamorously seductive (and dangerous).

The poster has been conservation linen backed and displays beautifully, with fold lines barely visible. It's hard if not impossible to detect, but there was some airbrushing to restore the borders and some of the main image
