In 1941, Alfred Hitchcock was loaned out to RKO, where he directed one of his favourite actors, Cary Grant, alongside Joan Fontaine.
In a typically Hitchcockian tale in which nothing is what it seems, least of all Grant’s charmer, who marries Fontaine’s heiress, who then begins to find out the truth about him.
The film was re-released cinematically in 1953, and this is original Lobby Card #2 from the set of 8 produced for that release. It benefits from the RKO approach to movie advertising materials, with the illustrated scenes (here with Grant, Fontaine and Nigel Bruce) supplemented by the main poster imagery appearing as border art.
