Billy Wilder’s greatest black comedy.
1950’s Sunset Boulevard was a comeback for Gloria Swanson, as the silent star dreaming of a comeback, and William Holden as the writer who moves in with her.
Original cinema advertising materials for this title are hard to find, and the Lobby Cards are no exception. This is original Lobby Card #6 from the set of 8 produced for the movie’s first release. They all feature the film strip artwork from the main posters in their borders, and there are some great scenes featured. This is from the poignant scene where Norma Desmond visits her old director, Cecil B. DeMille, on set.
