Sex and the City

Much like Helen Fielding’s Bridget Jones’s Diary, Sex and the City started out life as a newspaper column, written by Candace Bushnell, which she then turned into a book.

An HBO television adaptation centred around the lives and loves of four friends in New York quickly became compulsory viewing for a certain generation and ran for six seasons.   In 2008, four years after the last season,  it finally made an eagerly anticipated arrival on the big screen for fans to catch up on their favourite characters and, perhaps tie up a few loose ends?
