Walt Disney’s adaptation of the classic Italian story by Carlo Collodi about a woodcarver who wishes the puppet he has created could become a real boy was the studio’s second full length animated film.

Released in 1940 the film won two Oscars for its music – one for the score as a whole, and the other for the song ‘When You Wish Upon a Star’.    And although not a commercial success on its first release, over the course of regular cinematic re-releases the film gained a loyal following of fans and is now considered to be one of the finest animated films ever made.

This is a very rare original UK Front of House Lobby Card (measuring 8″x10″) from the film’s first release, and is a lovely depiction of Pinocchio and Jiminy Cricket.
