Invasion of the Body Snatchers

A classic example of sci-fi and horror as political statement.

Don Siegel’s tale of alien pods hatching into clones in a local community has a lot to say about the McCarthy witchhunt, communism and political paranoia.

It’s also a compelling story in its own right.

The cult status of the movie has helped to make original movie posters for the film very collectable,  The main imagery from the original posters features prominently as border artwork in this Lobby Card from the film’s first (1956) release, with its main image being an important scene with McCarthy and Wynter.
