High Society

One of our favourite pieces – great film, memorable soundtrack and Cole Porter tunes, and a striking poster to evoke the movie perfectly.

1956’s High Society, directed by Charles Walters, is the musical remake of The Philadelphia Story, with jazz from Louis Armstrong, crooning from Bing and Frank, and a lovely performance from Grace.

Hepburn, Stewart and Grant was a trio to be reckoned with, but Kelly, Sinatra and Crosby do a pretty good job here.

This is an original US Lobby Card, #3 from the set of 8 produced for the movie’s first release.  All the cards feature great scenes from the film – this is Crosby and Sinatra singing “Well, Did you Evah?”.
