MGM’s 1939 adaptation of Margaret Mitchell’s best selling novel is still one of Hollywood’s best loved movies.
On its initial release it won 8 Oscars (and 2 more honorary Oscars) and was the year’s top grossing film.
It has enjoyed numerous cinema re-releases, and has remained very popular though the days of television, video, DVD and streaming.
One of its major re-releases was in 1968, when it enjoyed renewed success with the help of major cinema promotion.
This is original US Lobby Card #8 from the set of 8 produced for that release, featuring a scene with Vivien Leigh and Clark Gable.
