Downhill Racer from 1969 is one of the relatively few films to have skiing as its central core.

An exciting drama with Robert Redford facing off against Gene Hackman, with Camilla Sparv in the mix as well.

Original cinema advertising posters for the movie are very collectable due to the combination of skiing imagery with really attractive artwork.

The main US One Sheet poster came in two completely different designs by Steve Frankfurt – this is an original of the slightly rarer Style B, which has a small version of the “kiss” art which dominates the Style A poster, but is really all about the speed and the skiing.
