1971 saw the release of a great new take on the private eye genre.

Set in Harlem and with Richard Roundtree as John Shaft, it worked at every level – as well as having the Oscar winning theme song from Isaac Hayes.

This is original US Lobby Card #2 from the set of 8 produced for the movie’s first release.  It’s probably the best in the set, featuring the action scene that was the basis of the main poster design.
