A Star Is Born

The second of the four (to date) film versions of the story of an actor/singer on the way down helping an aspiring actress/singer, whose career goes on to exceed his.

Lady Gaga was the latest, and Janet Gaynor was the first, but for many, Judy Garland was the best.

Co-starring with James Mason, this was definitely Garland’s film.

Original cinema posters and other advertising materials for this 1954 musical are becoming harder to come by, and are always collectable.
