Modesty Blaise

Glamorous Italian movie star Monica Vitti plays Modesty Blaise  –  ‘The World’s deadliest and most dazzling female agent’ – who thinks she has been brought in by the British government to help disrupt a diamond heist, and enlists her old friend Willie (Terence Stamp) to help out.  However, things don’t go quite as planned.

Dirk Bogarde plays the would be diamond thief.

The character of Modesty Blaise was first introduced as a comic strip character in London’s Evening Standard newspaper in 1963 as the female spoof spy answer to Bond mania which was beginning to hit.
