This story of lust, murder and deception remains one of the greatest classic examples of (the Hollywood version of) film noir.
Lana Turner as Cora is surely one of the best (ie worst) examples of the scheming femme fatale, with John Garfield as Frank, the drifter she ensnares to help her get rid of her older (but not without assets) husband, Nick.
Original posters and lobby cards from the film’s first release in 1946 have understandably become highly sought after pieces, and are increasingly difficult to find, as collectors tend to hold onto them once they’ve found them.
Lobby Card #4 brings together the would be murderers and their victim, blissfully unaware of what they are cooking up for him.
