Pandora and the Flying Dutchman

This romantic melodrama was a re-telling of the old myth of The Flying Dutchman.

Now set in 1930s Spain with James Mason as ‘the Flying Dutchman’ of the title and Ava Gardner as Pandora, with a supporting cast including Nigel Patrick and Marius Goring.

The film was digitally restored in 2020 and the Technicolour splendour, and fabulous cinematography of the great Jack Cardiff are even more evident.
