After the massive success of My Fair Lady in 1964, Paramount re-released Breakfast at Tiffany’s in 1965 to capitalise on that success.  An entirely new set of lobby cards was produced, with different border art including the tagline ‘The Fairest Lady of All’ as a nod to My Fair Lady, and featuring several great scenes not included in the original lobby card set.

For anyone who still has never seen this Oscar-winning film, George Peppard plays Paul Varjak, a struggling writer who becomes a neighbour in the same New York apartment building as a certain Holly Golightly (Audrey Hepburn). Inevitably they fall in love but along the way we learn that both have certain secrets they try to keep from the other.

This is Card #8.  Paul and Holly are in Tiffany’s looking at some jewellery.  This great scene doesn’t feature in the 1961 Lobby Card set.
