Betrayed (When Strangers Marry)

When Strangers Marry, a B Studio noirish drama, was released in 1944, when third billed Bob Mitchum was in the early stages of his career.

His real breakthrough came in 1947, with Out of the Past.

So Monogram Pictures gave the earlier film a quick cinema re-release, changing its title to Betrayed and altering its advertising to have Robert Mitchum promoted as its star.
