The Aristocats

A tale of a kidnap and an escape and return home set in Paris in 1910.

This was the last animated feature that was fully approved by Walt Disney before his death, and it has lots to endear it to fans old and young.

The jazz score is nice, with Scatman Crothers as Scat Cat, a role planned for Louis Armstrong, and the voice cast list is especially strong.  With the wonderful Phil Harris as Thomas O’Malley (the Alley Cat).

This original piece is from the set of 9 Lobby Cards produced for the film’s first release (1970); it’s the Title Card, basically a smaller version of the great main poster artwork.
