Steve McQueen as the Cooler King leads a real all star cast in a film based on what was really a tragic real-life escape. It starts in a fairly light hearted way, and then gradually gets more serious (and exciting) as the tension mounts up to the escape and its aftermath.
Posters and lobby cards from its original cinema release are very popular, and the set of original release Lobby Cards also feature a miniature version of the main poster artwork by Frank McCarthy, as well as individual scenes. This is Lobby Card #8.
