After a three year wait, the growing army of fans of the galaxy far far away were able to immerse themselves in it again when in 1980 The Empire Strikes Back (now known as Star Wars: Episode V – The Empire Strikes Back) was released.  It matched the first film’s Academy Award haul – six – and many polls rate it the best in the franchise.

This is an original UK Quad poster from that release, with the great Tom Jung artwork.  It’s the silver title logo Style.
