For our money, 1976’s Taxi Driver is Martin Scorsese’s greatest film.  Whether it’s the fantastic performance from Robert De Niro as the anti-hero, Travis Bickle, the powerful supporting cast including Cybill Shepherd, Peter Boyle, Harvey Keitel and Jodie Foster, the stunning colours and cinematography, the haunting score by Bernard Herrmann (Citizen Kane, Psycho and others), or the iconic scenes (“Are you looking at me?”), there’s something here for every film fan.

That’s part of the reason why original cinema posters for the film are so collectable.  The other is the fact that the imagery is so good.

This is an original US One Sheet poster from the movie’s first release.
