John Travolta had been around for a few years, but shot to superstardom in 1977’s disco classic, Saturday Night Fever.

A musical of its times, but also pretty gritty, with Travolta as Brooklyn based Tony Manero, looking for an escape from the grind of work and family.

Its fantastic soundtrack, led by the Bee Gees, has helped it achieve cult status, and original cinema advertising posters and Lobby Cards are correspondingly highly valued.

This is original Lobby Card #7 from the movie’s first release, and is probably the best card in the set, with the multi-Travolta disco image, so typical of the film.
