A domestic comedy from 1960, with a routine plot involving a family moving from the city to the country, but the movie critic husband continuing to work late, and attracting his wife’s suspicions.

But it’s elevated by its cast, with Doris Day and David Niven both on top form, with amusing support, in particular from Spring Byington and Patsy Kelly.

Original cinema advertising materials for Doris Day are always collectable, and this original US Window Card has the same artwork as the US One Sheet poster from the film’s first cinema release.  It features a lovely image of her, whilst David Niven (weighed down by the family dog) and their four sons add to the sense of fun.  Window Cards are a smaller and rarer format, and were used in nearby shops to advertise movies on show in neighbouring cinemas.  The authentic blank area at the top was often used to write in the theatre details, but can be covered with a mount when framing if preferred.
