High Society

One of our favourite films, 1956’s High Society, directed by Charles Walters, is the musical remake of The Philadelphia Story.
Tunes from Cole Porter, jazz from Louis Armstrong and crooning from Bing and Frank makes for a memorable soundtrack and Grace Kelly gives a lovely performance as Tracy Lord.
Katharine Hepburn, James Stewart and Cary Grant was a trio to be reckoned with in The Philadelphia Story, but Kelly, Sinatra and Crosby do a pretty good job here.
This is Card #4 of the set of 8 Lobby Cards and shows Bing singing with the great Louis Armstrong and his band – “Now You Has Jazz” …
