In 1951, one of the most anticipated, and best received, films was the adaptation of the Tennessee Williams play that brought Marlon Brando to theatre-goers’ attention a couple of years before.
He was teamed again with Vivien Leigh, who won an Oscar, as did the supporting leads, Kim Hunter and Karl Malden.
This is an original US Window Card poster from the movie’s first release. The Window Card is a rarer format, and was printed with a blank section at the top, to enable theater/venue/screening times to be added locally. This card comes from Nebraska.
