We at Limelight have been buying and selling original film posters and lobby cards for decades, enabling us to offer an unrivalled range of stock from our Gallery in Chelsea, London and from our website. We’ve been on the King’s Road for nearly twenty years. Our clients, new and old, can find the highest quality, most authentic pieces, many of which have been professionally conservation backed, for their collections, decoration or display. Our stock may change from day to day, but the quality of the pieces we offer is constant.
Alfred Hitchcock had a long and successful career – from British silent movies to his golden Hollywood years.
His highly recognisable style gave rise to its own adjective – Hitchcockian – and he was also responsible for the ice blonde and the MacGuffin.
Original movie advertising materials for his films remain highly popular, with film fans, cinema and film studies students, and lovers of great artwork.
Here’s just a small selection.

Printed using the best technology and materials by a leading London print lab, numbered and with Certificates of Authenticity, and produced in very low runs (as low as 7 for some images).
They are available exclusively from us (because we own the negatives and copyrights). When the runs are sold out, there won’t be any more!
If you’ve never bought an original film poster, here’s a short introduction. We explain what “original” means, and why film fans, collectors and people with an eye for something different to adorn their walls are deciding to buy this authentic movie art.
Learn MoreOriginal film posters come in a variety of shapes and sizes, depending on where they are intended to be displayed at the cinema, and in what country. So you can usually find an original size (format) which will suit the space you have in mind. But because these are all original pieces, bear in mind that you can’t just select an image you like and ask for it in a particular size. Our Sizing Guide is designed to help you understand the sizes and to visualise the various formats as they might appear in your home, office or other intended location.
Learn MoreWe are happy to ship worldwide. For most destinations and pieces we can tell you the cost straightaway. In some cases we may need a little more information. This guide will help you to see the costs and options, and explains our ordering, payment and returns procedures and policies.
Learn MoreOriginal film posters and lobby cards make great gifts. But if, having had the idea, you need a bit of help finding the perfect piece then this section should help, and enables you to contact us with your requirements so that we can then come up with some alternatives that you might like.
Learn MoreWe always love chatting to people in person, but we’ve also tried to make sure that our website gives you all the information and guidance that you may need when deciding what to buy – we understand that sometimes the sheer volume of choice can be a bit overwhelming.
But we also know that many of us like some face to face guidance, so we’ve put together a few short video clips to introduce you to some of the key topics. We’ll be adding to these regularly.
